Ping a Trailer

To see the current status of the trailer's sensors and current location, and retrieve any queued messages, you can ping the trailer. When you ping a trailer, the system sends any parameter changes to the terminal immediately. You can only ping a tethered trailer when it is connected to a tractor.

Click the Trailers tab.
Locate the trailer to ping in the list and click its ID.
Its details appear below the map on the right.
Click Ping below the trailer details.
A message appears explaining how long it will take to receive the response based on information from the last status report.

Note: Additional costs are incurred when you ping a trailer. Based on the trailer's configuration, it may take up to 12 hours before you receive a status report.
