Manage Divisions

You can set up division codes to organize your company's assets and landmarks. Divisions let you see asset inventory at a landmark by division. For example, if you set up BULK and REEFER divisions, you can see how many tractors and/or trailers assigned to each of these divisions are "at" landmark XYZ DISTRIBUTING. Tractors appear if you are using the QTRACS application, and trailers appear if you are using Trailer Tracks.

If your company is not organized into divisions, all assets are assigned to the DFT (Default) division code.

To create a division

  1. If you're not in Administration, click Administration in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Company Settings, then click the Divisions tab.
  3. Click Add new division.
  4. Type the division ID and description.
  5. To make this the default division that is automatically assigned to new assets and landmarks, check Set as default.
  6. To assign assets, click the Vehicles or Trailers tab.
  7. Select assets in the list on the right.
    • Use Shift+Click to select a range of assets
    • Use Ctrl+Click to select individual assets
  8. Click <<Add.
  9. When you're finished, click save.

To change a division

  1. From the Divisions tab, click the division ID you want to change.
  2. Click edit.
  3. Modify fields and asset assignment as needed.
  4. Click save.

To delete a division

  1. From the Divisions tab, click the division ID you want to delete.
  2. Click delete above the details on the right.
  3. Click OK.
